Bakhchisaray. Khanski palace.

Bakhchisaray. Khanski palace.

The CrimeaThe most popular place of interest of Bakhchisaray is Khanski palace – the architectural monument of 16th-18th centuries.

Graceful lines of the antique building, magnificent paintings on the outside walls and bedrooms of the Crimea khan remind you silently of the past greatness of Osman empire. The Fountain of tears built to commemorate khan Crym-Gyrey’s wife who died in her yearly age makes Bakhchisaray palace more poetical.

Chufut-Kale

The cave town Chufut-Kale is one of the most mysterious places of the Crimea. It has existed for at least 800 years. The town is located on the mountain plateau which has unapproachable rocky cliffs on three sides.

Mangup-Kale

The CrimeaMangup-Kale is one of the best known “cave-towns” which was the centre of the large medieval state Pheodoro.

This is the largest medieval town in this part of the peninsula.

Majestic Mangup is wonderful all year round: in spring when trees are blooming, young grass and field flowers are covering hills; in winter when its picks and slopes are covered with snow; in autumn when different colours of foliferous wood combined with green needles make a wonderful colour scale, and in a hot summer.
